Hi! I’m Tami. I’m a thirty-something pastor’s wife, a homeschooling mother of 4 children, and a woman who walks daily knowing of her need of grace. I am a through and through Florida girl, except that now I have lived in North Carolina for more than five years (how did that happen? North Carolina is just supposed to be the state where Floridians go to escape the heat and maybe see some snow). I was born and raised on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Walks on the beach, roller coaster rides at Bush Gardens, and sunburns all played an important part in my growing up years.
I met my husband when I was in Bible college. I went to college to prepare to be a missionary. Until I met Scott, in my senior year, and suddenly I knew I was called to love and help this man, until death do us part. He has been showing me the love and grace of God ever since. So glad my plans were superseded by the great Planner of my life.
Over the past 13 years of marriage, we have lived in some pretty neat places. Louisville (KY), Roanoke Island (NC), and even a few years back in my hometown in Florida.
We have been to seminary where PhD.’s taught my husband Greek and Hebrew and all about the synoptic problem, and we have been in the seminary of life where we have learned- and are still learning- what it is like to fail and fall and be swooped back up by the love of God, that His care is never ending, that the Gospel must be the center of our every day, and that His mercies are new every morning. Every morning and all day long.
